The City of Arts and Sciences is An essential visit to those who travel to Valencia. This area of leisure, in which the culture is protagonist, based its activity in three main topic areas: Art, Science and Nature. Thus, with the aim of forming amusing, there’re gathered in their 350,000 m2 the Palau de les Arts Queen Sofia, the Museum of les Ciències Prince Felipe, L'Oceanographic, L'Hemisfèric and L'Umbracle.
The whole of the City of Arts and Sciences has been designed by the architect from Valencia Santiago Calatrava, in collaboration with Felix Candela, and they’ve achieved one of their greatest works, both by the architectural feat as by its beauty.
In addition, the City of the Arts and Sciences has a wide range of restaurants, as well as thematic shops in the different areas. Within this visit, we must distinguish the submarine restaurant L'Oceanographic, whose walls are a large aquarium.
